Hip and Knee Joint Replacement Expert
I have a background in construction, which grew into an interest in fixing things. Performing hip and knee replacements is a hands-on specialty where I am able to address a tangible problem. Replacing a joint can greatly improve a person’s quality of life and help them be active. Getting to do that every day is very rewarding, and seeing my patients get back to activity is the most satisfying part of the job.
Dr. Lindgren’s Patient Care Philosophy
In every patient encounter, my goal is to help them figure out what the real underlying problem is and then discuss all their options, both surgical and nonsurgical. People can manage arthritis symptoms for years before they consider surgery.
I often think of treatment options as a toolbox. Since we don’t have a cure for arthritis, we talk about managing the symptoms and having the quality of life they want. If they can do that without surgery, that’s wonderful. And in the end, if surgery does enter the picture, they’ll know when they’re ready.
What Patients Can Expect from Dr. Lindgren
Patients can expect my team and me to listen to them and hear what their concerns are. Our job is to educate them on the options and help them come to the best decision for them. If they eventually choose surgery, our goal is to give them a great fix.
Dr. Lindgren’s Outside Interests
Most of what I like to do outside work is outdoors related. My family’s vacations are usually to national parks, where we like hiking, horseback riding, and other outdoor adventures. My personal hobby is golf, which I try to fit in when I can. I also have had the opportunity to volunteer my time and surgical expertise in Honduras through One World Surgery, which was founded by a Summit physician.
