Summit contracts with health benefit management companies and directly with employers that allow patients to undergo major orthopedic procedures at its facilities at significantly reduced rates—often in the neighborhood of 30 percent less, and our unique outpatient surgery suites that provide a 25 percent cost savings over a typical in-patient hospital stay in Minnesota and as much as a 60 percent savings over such a stay in much of the rest of the country.
Enhanced experience, accelerated recovery
Your plan participants will receive surgical care at one of Summit’s 23-hour surgery centers located in Vadnais Heights and Eagan, followed by an innovative Care Suites stay. The Care Suites offer a post-surgery recovery experience modeled after a high-end hotel with luxury linens and catered meals, blended with expert nursing care and accelerated therapy.

These packages are appropriate for plan participants who are otherwise healthy – generally the majority of commercially insured patients fit this demographic. Summit practitioners use clinical criteria to determine eligibility.

Summit offers peace of mind, bringing decades of experience in total joint and spine surgeries, and 20+ years of managing surgery centers. In the rare event of any complication or unanticipated care within the 90-day post-op period, we will continue to honor the bundled price and write-off any incremental professional fees. Exclusions apply for implant recall or documented patient non-compliance.
Taking the pain out of pre-authorization
We customize an easy-to-use pre-authorization process to meet your specific needs as an employer. A business office liaison will be dedicated to your account to administer claims quickly and efficiently.
Flexible claims process
You have options. Often the easiest model is a simple monthly bill for bundled services rendered. If you foresee needing a different process, or need us to work with your plan administrator or TPA, we are happy to accommodate those needs.
