For these people here in Honduras, hope can be as simple as they’re hoping for a meal. They’re hoping to be able to have enough money to fix their roof. Simple life. Survival is hope here in Honduras for a lot of people that we see. And with that, the services that we provide, we’re able to give them back that quality of life. And we give them hope. At the beginning, it was probably about three to four times a year – I’ve been coming since 2008. Now it’s about every six to eight weeks. I make kind of a long weekend out of it. I don’t think I would be as fulfilled as I am today. One World Surgery and serving here in Honduras is who I am. I have found what I enjoy. The hours are long, the work is hard, but I would never give it up, ever. They give me more rewards than I give them.
