Surgery Centers
Summit Orthopedics is proud to offer two surgery centers; Landmark Surgery Center located in the Gallery Medical Building in Downtown St. Paul and Woodbury Ambulatory Surgery Center located in the Allina Clinic in Woodbury. Both surgery centers are leading, full service, out-patient surgical facilities and have been awarded the prestigious JCAHO Gold Seal of Approval. We provide patients with convenient, high quality care in a comfortable environment.
June 2010: A recent study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association focused on compliance issues related to infection control practices among many ambulatory surgery centers across the country. Our two surgery centers, however, continue to meet and exceed appropriate infection control standards and are pleased to report lower infection rates relative to the national average.
Our centers are licensed by the State of Minnesota as free-standing, out-patient surgery centers and are staffed by experienced registered nurses and credentialed anesthesia physicians. The professional staff of the centers provide pre-anesthesia screening and education, intra-operative surgical care and postoperative/home recovery assessment.
The centers specialize in diagnostic and corrective orthopedic surgery of the hand, shoulder, knee, ankle and foot, including arthroscopy of all major joints, treatment of fractures, carpal tunnel release, and many other orthopedic procedures.
Our staff provides care and education for patients undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for acute and chronic pain. Specific procedures include (but are not limited to) epidural steroid injections for back pain syndromes, therapeutic and diagnostic injections or nerve blocks, sympathetic nerve blocks, and discography. Our surgery centers are proud of our high patient satisfaction reports and positive surgical outcomes.
Having surgery is not a part of a person’s normal daily routine. At Landmark Surgery Center and Woodbury Ambulatory Surgery Center, we recognize that and provide the personalized care that supports the patient and the patient’s family before, during, and after surgery. Our goal is to provide a safe surgical experience with minimal pain and discomfort.
