Receipt Entry
Summit Orthopedics is in search of a full-time Receipt Entry position located at our Woodbury Corporate facility. The primary responsibilities include: entry of receipts, researching, processing payments, copying, and much more! You must have great attention-to-detail, be good with numbers, and be a team player. Minimum of one-year previous medical office setting and receipt entry experience required. SOHJ
Senior Systems Engineer
Summit Orthopedics is in search of a Microsoft Focused Senior Systems Engineer. Interested parties should be an expert in the following Microsoft Technologies: Active Directory, Windows Server, Clustering, SQL (non-DBA), Exchange, Terminal Services, DFS, Server and Workstation Polices/ADMs and WSUS. Candidates should also have significant experience and proficiency with at least some of the following subject matter areas: Network Topology and Routing, Windows Deployment Services, MOM/SCCM/SAN Management, Virtual Computing, Network Security and/or Citrix. Candidates must be highly organized, a strong leader, able to multi-task, and able to rapidly move projects to resolution.
Candidates under consideration will be responsive and able to handle multiple concurrent projects, high performing, energetic and flexible, strong IT expertise, be able to get along with everyone, and work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment. A four-year degree in Information Technology (or related) and a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a large physician or healthcare practice with a history of sustained success is preferred. SOHJ
Appointment Schedulers
Summit Orthopedics is in search of two full time Appointment Schedulers to work at our Woodbury location. Responsibilities include: registering and scheduling patients for 35+ physicians in our centralized scheduling department. Candidates must be familiar with health insurance, medical terminology, and have a minimum of one-year medical office or call center customer service experience. SOHJ
Hand Therapist
We are seeking a Hand Therapist to work 28-40 hours per week at our Woodbury facility. Ideal candidates will be Certified Hand Therapists with previous outpatient orthopedic experience. Must be licensed in MN. SOHJ
Receptionist
We are in search of a full-time Receptionist to work at our Maplewood clinic Monday-Friday, hours vary between 7:30am-5:00pm. Responsibilities include greeting and checking-in patients, scheduling appointments, reviewing chart information and much more. Candidates must be respectful of our diverse patient population, demonstrate customer service that goes above and beyond, and be patient care oriented. Candidates must be familiar with health insurance, medical terminology, and have a minimum of one-year medical office experience. Candidates must be willing to travel to all clinic locations, including Maplewood, Woodbury, St. Paul, and Eagan. SOHJ
Business Development Manager
Summit Orthopedics is in search of a full time Business Development Manager to work at our Woodbury location. This position will identify new business opportunities, close sales, negotiate and manage business relationships and research and communicate market needs.
Main Duties:
- Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive and business development plan that is aligned with Summit’s business interests with the assistance of senior leadership, service line managers and physicians.
- Identify potential business partners and screen opportunities by analyzing market strategies, pro-formas and other financial information, and internal priorities.
- Close sales producing new incremental patient volume and revenues in Summit’s various business lines including but not limited to: Othopedics, Orthotics and Prosthetics, Spinecare, MRI, Therapy, and Occupational Medicine.
- Develop negotiation strategies tactics, and approaches, that are synergistic with and add value to overall Summit patient and business relationships, and operations.
- Evaluate business development ROIs, risks and cost/benefits prior to closing sales and seek appropriate senior management advice and assistance as needed.
- Work with Marketing and Department Managers to improve patient acquisition and retention, including direct sales and assisting in the development of effective marketing communications and campaigns.
- Facilitate change management initiatives to ensure the organization is equipped with adequate infrastructure and processes to support growing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience in a business development capacity required with a strong track record of sales accomplishments. Knowledge of the healthcare industry preferred. Clinical background a plus.
Education: BA or BS in business field required, MBA or related preferred. SOHJ
Collector
Summit Orthopedis is in search of one full-time Collector at our Business Office in Woodbury Corporate. Responsibilities include collecting insurance balances. This position requires telephone interaction with health plans, searching health plan web sites for patient information and communication with patients on their balances or insurance information. Candidates must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be knowledgeable about health insurance, and have excellent computer skills. A minimum of two years collection experience is required. SOHJ
Director of Ancillary Services
Summit Orthopedics is in search of a Director of Ancillary Services. This position provides leadership and general management oversight for multiple ancillary services. This position is responsible for the overall performance of the sites and associated teams with the goal of strategic initiative achievement and continuous progression toward the Summit’s vision.
The position is the principal arm of the management team at ancillary service (and related) sites responsible for the implementation and measurement of performance, processes, procedures, services, or personnel. This includes, but not limited to, the recommendation of strategy for short- and long-term success, employee engagement, turnover, financial results, customer satisfaction, compliance and quality.
Main Duties :
· Collaborate with Senior Management team to plan and formulate the strategic direction of assigned departments as it relates to the development, establishment, and implementation of long-range and short-range goals and objectives.
· Prioritize, schedule and delegate work assignments, and directly or indirectly supervise the staff of assigned departments to ensure the highest level of care.
· Implement and manage the departmental budgets preparing and analyzing financial information, comparing actual performance to budgeted performance, and overseeing and/or approving clinical expenses.
· Oversee and coordinate the development, design and improvement of processes and methods within assigned departments.
· Ensure department compliance with all local, state and federal regulatory agencies, in addition to safety and work regulations and the maintenance of housekeeping standards.
· Engage in employee staffing and supervisory duties, including interviewing and hiring employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and ensuring the completion of required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
· Direct the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the practice’s standards for quality, quantity, and safety.
· Participate on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes, methods, productivity and quality, while reducing costs.
Qualifications:
Minimum five (5) years of clinic management experience required. Minimum of seven (7) years progressive leadership experience required.
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in business or health-related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s in Healthcare or Business Administration preferred. SOHJ
Hospitalist Physician Assistant - Certified
Summit Orthopedics is in search of an Orthopedic Hospitalist PA-C. This PA-C will round in local hospitals and transitional care units. Main responsibilities include daily patient rounding, assessment of patients, and providing follow-up orders. Additional responsibilities include supporting physician teams in clinic and orthopedic surgery when needed. Candidates will also assist with educating patients and their families on pre and post-op care. Local travel to area hospitals and transitional care facilities required. Qualified candidates must have minumum of 5+ years PA-C experience, preferably in Orthopedics. SOHJ
MRI Assistant
Summit Orthopedics is in search of two full-time MRI Assistants to work at our clinics in St. Paul & Woodbury. Duties will include rooming patients, prepping for scan and providing overall support to MRI staff. Candidates must have previous experience in a healthcare setting, CNA preferred. MRI Technicians
Summit Orthopedics is in search of two full-time MRI Techs to work at our clinics in St. Paul & Woodbury. This position will be responsible for performing all MR functions on an MRI extremity scanner. Candidates must have vocational/technical training, current MRI and ART certification and 2+ years of experience, with 1.5 tessla experience preferred. SOHJ
Physician Assistant - Certified
Summit Orthopedics is in search of four full-time certified physician assistants (PA-C). Candidates must be willing to travel to other clinic sites and be PA-C or eligible for PA certification. SOHJ
Main Duties:
Surgical Technician
Summit Orthopedics is in search of a full-time Surgical Technician / Clinical Assistant to assist our orthopedic physician in clinic and surgery. Responsibilities include suture removal, set up injections, cast application, and surgical assisting. Candidates must be detail orientated, highly organized, have strong customer service and be patient care oriented. Candidates must have a minimum of one-year experience in a surgical setting and be willing to travel to other clinic sites. SOHJ
Patient Ambassador
We are in search of a FT Patient Ambassador to work at our clinics in Maplewood and St. Paul. The position will ensure patients have an extraordinary experience while at our clinic, by greeting our patients in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner, assisting with check-in process, and ensuring their wait is comfortable. Candidates must have customer service experience in the healthcare field. SOHJ
Switchboard Operator
We are search of one FT Switchboard Operator to work M-F at our Woodbury location. Switchboard responsibilities include answering main switchboard to field calls for all clinics & locations. All candidates must be familiar with health insurance, medical terminology, and have a minimum of one-year medical office or call center customer service experience. SOHJ
